"Hello,
I thought you would like to know about what happened in room 1311 on 28th August at around 8:30 in the morning.
My lovely boyfriend David proposed to me and I said yes!
We had a fabulous stay at the Spencer on Byron - we checked in on Saturday afternoon and played tennis for a while. We then freshened up for dinner and headed down to Thyme Restaurant. David had the rib and I had the fish combo - both really tasty. He was going to propose at dinner apparently but you had a very busy night and so the privacy wasn't quite right.
On Sunday morning we woke up refreshed after the lovely sleep in the comfortable bed, and we got talking about the beautiful day ahead (we were going to the Pet Expo), and then it happened.
It was a lovely family occasion too as my parents had bought the package of dinner and the night's accommodation for my birthday - thank you Spencer on Byron for providing the setting for a wonderful memory we will have forever.

"Fantastic views over Auckland!
We stayed here on our wedding night. The staff were very kind and helpful. We had immediate help with our luggage. We were still in our wedding clothes, and the staff congratulated us on our marriage and couldn't have been more helpful.
The room was spacious and well appointed. The views over Auckland were magnificent.
If I was going to be very picky, I would only say that the shower was over the bath and a bit cramped.
The bed was very very comfy, with a thick mattress and warm covers."
