Getting to the city quickly from The Spencer on Byron Hotel using public transport is easy!

Just 30 seconds walk from the hotel on Burns Avenue is a bus stop that has buses running into the Auckland CBD from 6.20am and returning to Takapuna as late as 11.05pm. See the map below showing how close the hotel is to the bus stop.

If you’d prefer a more leisurely journey to town you can catch a bus to the beautiful historical town of Devonport and then catch a ferry to Auckland’s downtown and Vaiduct area. Devonport is a marine village and one of the city’s oldest suburbs. With its picture postcard Victorian villas, pretty beaches and stylish shops, Devonport is a great place to spend a day or afternoon.

Buses leave from 6.05am from Lake Rd to Devonport Wharf and return to Takapuna as late as 11.35pm. Once in Devonport ferries leave to Auckland City every 15-30 minutes depending on the time of day.
